The obvious question
Why not just a $15 self-watering pot?
A wicking pot or a water globe can keep soil damp for a while, but they can't tell a thriving plant from one that's already drowning. Nusk actually senses moisture at the root, adapts to what your specific plant needs, and tells you the one time something's genuinely wrong — instead of silently over- or under-watering until you notice from the leaves.
Who's building this
Two friends, fresh out of engineering school.
We're Yonatan and Esaias — we design, build, and code Nusk together: the hardware, the firmware, the app, all of it. We recently graduated from an engineering program and started Nusk because we kept losing plants we actually liked. This is a Kickstarter, not a company yet, because we want to build it with people who actually want it before we try to scale it.
